Major Responsibilities :
The Field Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer is responsible to lead in tracking results using project's results framework and ensure the database generation, authentication and management. S/he provides technical support to project manager and field manager in adaptive management practices. This position is based in the field and requires substantial travel to remote project sites.
Qualifications :
A Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Natural Resource Management, Environment Management or related field with at least 3 years of field experience in the implementation and management of which at least 2 years must be in natural resource management projects. Preference will be given to candidates with experience of independently handling M&E work of projects of over USD 1 million per year and other GEF projects. The candidate should be technically proficient and qualified in the field of monitoring and evaluation. Updated knowledge with working experience in Geo-spatial environment (GIS) is desirable.
FIELD PROGRAM OFFICER - ILaM Project
Major Responsibilities :
The Field Program Officer is responsible to liaison with Park authorities, Buffer zone management council and user committees and Division Forest Offices. S/he provides technical guidance to sub-grantees and monitors effectiveness and efficiencies during field implementation. This position is based in the field and requires substantial travel to the remote project sites.
Qualifications :
A Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management, Conservation Biology, Environment Science, Forestry, or other related field with at least 3 years of experience in-country in integrated landscape conservation, community forestry and/or natural resource management. A sound knowledge in biodiversity conservation, governance in NRM sector, gender and social inclusion, livelihood, conservation policies and current development issues in Nepal is desired. S/he should have experience in capacity building, planning, communication and monitoring and evaluation. Experience of working with field-based conservation and development initiatives, diverse community groups in various altitudinal gradients in the country and government agencies is a must.
