COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Major Responsibilities: The Communications Manager is responsible for creating a positive image of WWF Nepal through strategic media profiling, public engagement and relationship building in line with integrated strategic plan of WWF Nepal. Under the direct supervision of the Country Representative, the Communications Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and managing communications and marketing strategies to promote WWF's efforts. S/he ensures that WWF's communication and marketing tools / contents are targeted towards the requirements of its existing and potential donors on areas of common interest and manages transformative initiatives that will go much beyond the immediate benefits of WWF. S/he will ensure communications outreach through a newsroom set-up that collates and disseminates program impacts, interventions, and issues on a regular basis through newsletters, publications, and electronic media. S/he will also backstop field offices for local level communications and outreach.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, or a related field with at least five years of outstanding experience in journalism/communications is required. The ideal candidate must have a high level of attention to detail as well as a high level of enthusiasm for his/her work and the organization. Good skills in Microsoft office programs and digital communications tools along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills is desired. S/he should be effectively able to prioritize and work under time constraints, using initiative and judgement.

1. Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) [1]
Key Responsibilities : The Deputy Chief of Party (DCoP) is responsible for the management of the anticipated USAID-funded Equity and Inclusion Education Project in Nepal. The DCOP will be responsible for the Chief of Party (COP) on planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. S/he will also be responsible to liaise with counterparts and partners at the technical level, provide opinion on the soundness and feasibility of new approaches, train staff on key concepts and improve their technical competencies, and manage an effective learning process to adjust as needed.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required : Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, Project Management, demographics, public policy, international development, economics, or related field with 7+ years of experience in progressive management experience. Previous experience as DCOP or manager for other large-scale donor funded projects preferred. Familiarity with USAID programs, their history and their development; mastery of USAID regulations governing such programs. Fluency in English is required. Minimum of five (5) years professional experience in a senior Managing complex/ multi sectoral projects. 2-3 years of experience in monitoring US Government grants. 3 years of field-based experience.
2. Education Technical Advisor (ETA) [1]
Key Responsibilities : (ETA) is responsible for the management of the anticipated USAID funded Equity and Inclusion in Education Project in Nepal and will report the Chief of Party for the project. The ETA will lead the development and review of project strategies to improve early learning and reading outcomes for all children, especially girls and boys with disabilities and /or other marginalized students. The ETA will lead engagement with external agencies to ensure robust collaboration with other agencies working in catch up education, increased relevancy, effective teacher training, increased enrollment, and avoiding work duplication with other USAID education activities. Finally, the ETA will identify consultancy needs to ensure outcomes will be met, manage said consultancies, and review deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required : Master's Degree or higher in education, international development, curriculum and instruction or related field. Previous experience Education-related positions for other large-scale donor funded projects preferred, Fluency in English is required. At least 10 years performing in the Education sector and 2-3 years of experience in Technical Advisory role on US Government grants. Familiarity with USAID Education strategy and work, and GESI action plan. Contextual awareness of Nepal's education and development sector with experience of teaching and working with youth. Knowledge of the principles of Inclusive Education and Universal Design for Learning. Strong communication skills along with facilitation and training skills. Abilities in basic IT and remote communication applications and notions of ICT4E.
Travel : The positions require ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
